His relaxed amiability is defined by a compelling conversational style and absurd guitar posturing. His ‘songs’ are jokes that rhyme, set to a guitar backbeat, never travelling down the easy route of song parodies. He covers topics from love and hate, to sex and politics with a totally original voice, delivering his material with charm and irrelevance.
‘An unsung hero of new comedy. Don’t miss this true professional at work. Bloody funny.’
Carly Smallman sings funny songs. She was born in 1985, but didn’t begin performing stand-up comedy until 2009. Her unique blend of outrageous impropriety and adorable sincerity has established her as a firm favourite in London clubs and beyond. In 2010 she was first runner up in the Bedford New Comedian of the Year competition, and a Laughing Horse semi-finalist. Recently, Carly appeared on The Rob Brydon Show (BBC2)
“A stand-up comedian who I think is fantastic” – Rob Brydon
Compare - Local lad "JAMES ABBOTT"
James was securing paid slots in clubs in Kent only 8 months after he first picked up a microphone and said some stuff to try and make some people laugh. Married, with a young family and a full time job in the NHS, James isn’t able to gig as extensively as some of his peers but this just adds to the frustrations that he takes on stage with him. A comedy club is filled with people juggling home and work life , trying to forget it all for a few minutes, he is the same as them.
In 2010 James was a finalist in both the New Act Competitions of the Newbury Comedy Festival and Folkestone Comedy Festival.
Danny Ward - Compere
Danny started comedy in late 2008 and has since established himself as one of the up and coming comics to watch.
He is booked as both an act and compere throughout the UK by all the major comedy clubs including Highlight, Jongleurs, Off The Kerb and The Glee. He has performed in theatres, arts centres and universities. He has also completed 2 tours performing to returning troops for CSE.
Danny hosted the Reading Comedy Festival New Act Competition in 2009 and the 2010 finals, as well as the London heats of the 2010 and 2011 So You Think You're Funny comedy competition.
In 2011 Danny performed as part of the AAA Stand Up Late Show in the Pleasance Courtyard at The Edinburgh Festival.

QUOTES
"If there is better stand up elsewhere for free then I want to know about it, because it really would have to be world class to top this show. Danny Ward's observational humour is brilliantly delivered ... This is top quality stand up that should have filled the venue twice over. I implore you to go and see it!" (Three Weeks, 4 stars, Edinburgh Festival Aug 2010)
"Danny Ward clicked with the capacity crowd immediately and his brilliantly-timed, slightly manic approach was bolstered by some really tight, strong material. His often hilarious riffs on everyday shopping at discount stores created a thread that worked brilliantly throughout, with a killer ending". (Bournmouth Echo, Oct 2010)
